Hi,
I have been on H1b since 3 years and i have been recently awarded h1b ext. for 3 more years and i have not started GC process
I got admit into top15 USA univ . I want to COS from H1b to F1 .
I have few q's
1) does h1b ext. gives an immigrant intent and does it hamper my COS procedure ?
2) In my case what is the safe approach go to india and get it stamped or apply for COS in USA ?
3) If i go to India for F1 stamping and it gets denied will my h1b still hold good and can i reenter USA on h1b ?
4) If i apply for COS in USA and i already join univ while the process is in progress ,now if COS is denied what are my options ? Is my h1b still valid ?
5) IF the COS is denied can we reopen the case and file it again .
6)Are COS generally accepted?I mean is it a common phenomenon?
