I graduated with MS in Engg and completed one year of OPT on Jan 11th, 2010. I had applied for OPT extension, but came back rejected on March 8th, due to an error in e-verify number passed on to me by my employer. I have appealed with a MTR but no result so far.In the meantime, I thought it prudent to leave the country and left quickly on March 12.(that will be within 60 days grace,I suppose-I am not sure how they count days)Wouldn't I have been eligible actually for another 60 days from date of rejection?I have a PhD admission with a new I-20 and Sevis no.for Fall 2010.I'll be returning on 14th July after 4 months overseas and less than 30 days before course start date.I also have F1 visa valid for another 2 years. To me everything looks safe. Have I missed anything?
