Second Master's Degree-OPT extension

Hello David

I am currently employed on H1B . I am thinking of applying for my second Masters degree in the US. I however used up my OPT ( 1yr only ) after my first Master's. My understanding is that for the same degree level OPT is not renewed. However my question is, if my second masters qualifies as a STEM degree can i apply for the 17 months extension after graduation , despite the fact that i have used up the standard OPT already? If no, then am i to understand that there is no way to get an OPT after a second Masters Degree?

thank you
