I am a MSE graduate and was on OPT with a e-verify company. OPT started 10Jan2009. Unfortunately the employer provided wrong everify no amd OPT extension was denied on 28Feb2010.My job ceased and the employer's lawyer have filed MTR. To be on the safe side I left US on March 12 within the original 60 days grace period. My employer would file for H1B if the MTR returns OK in reasonable time. In the meantime I have a readmission to the same university for PhD Fall 2010 and am awaiting I-20.My questions are as follows
What is the success rate of MTR? How long will it take? If the employment does not work out I am keen on PhD.Is there anything else I need to take care of?
