OPT Reinstatement

I am on my OPT from Jan09-Jan2010.Employer A has filed my H1 on April 09 and was approved with COS and to be active by Oct1. Employer A has sent a revocation of H1B visa on Sep 16,2009. Even I have submitted a cover letter to USCIS yesterday for requisition of OPT/F1 status reinstatement along with the copy of what employer A has sent to them,I20 indicating SEVIS no.,EAC no,passport, Visa,I94 copy.My school DSO says he will not reinstate my SEVIS record unless I get an acknowledgement from USCIS with regards to H1B cancellation request. Now I have an admit for Spring 2010 at antoher college.School DSO will transfer my SEVIS record only in 2nd week of Oct,to get my new I20 from the other college.
Q: What will be my status after Oct 1?
Q: Can i still be in the country after oct 1 ?
