I am on 5th year of H1b and losing the job in few weeks. I have I140 approved with current employer. A new consulting firm is ready to give employment to me.
Should the green card process be start over again with new employer? If i lose the job in this new employer in couple of years and join another firm, should the green card process be start over again (I am citizen of India which has huge backlog)?
If the client that will be working with (after joining this consulting company) want to hire me for full time job, then green card process must start over again?
Will you recommend me to stick to one employer until I get green card to avoid restarting the process all over again every time I change employer?
Will I lose the priority date if my current employer cancels I140 petition?
