Q.

F1, H1 and Green Card

I am currently staying in the US as a student.
1. F1 visa stamped on passport till end of 2010.
2. OPT expired in May 09, applied to new school starting Sept. 09 and got I-20 in May 09.
3. Applied for H1 in April 09 and got approved with COS in July 09 with H1 starting Oct. 09.
4. Got married to a US citizen on Aug 09 (genuine marriage) and
5. Applying for green card in Sept 1 week.
6. Need to go to India in Dec. for traditional marriage.

I would like to know whether it is advisable to stay on F1 or go for a new H1 visa stamping in India.

I will be applying for I-131 AP, but I need to know whether I should stay on H1 or F1. If I should stay on F1, will there be problems with immigration later?

Thanks.
