Q.

Name change while AOS is pending

My wife who is a dependent AOS applicant is still in the process of changing her name after marriage. After the name change goes through, do we need to inform USCIS? My wife has already done her fingerprinting with her maiden name. How will that impact her AOS application? Will it be smarter to wait after approval to effect the name change?
