Can't decide if to stay with E3 or file E2
A Traffic engineer from Ghana working in CT since 2005. H1-B expiring October 2011. Company began GC process in 2007. Even with a Masters, company lawyers were hesitant to file in the E2 category because my current wage was not up to prevailing wage. Filed it under the E3. I-140 approved with priority date January 2008.
With the retrogression of the E3 category, want to find a job with a company which will file a green card for me in the E2. With current economic situation I don't know if it will be harder to have the LC and I-140 applications approved. If I stay in the E3 category, is it possible to go to another company with the approved I-140? If I decide to go to another company and file in the E2, would I have to have my application approved before the October 2011 deadline?
