Travel on AP - Got RFE for I 485

Hi-I am travelling to India on AP travel date Aug 5th. Just got an RFE today which is due by July 25. What the USCIS requires from me and my wife is - Evidence of status since June 2000 when i came in last to the US i.e H documents, Birth certificates and medical exam.
My questions are - Do i have to submit payslips as well or just H docs(I have had considerable bench time in my first 2 years of H1 status and have no payslips but from the past 3 years i am ok, 797 and EAD copies? Is it safe to respond to this RFE and travel?
