Effect of I-140 approval on future GC process and H-1B extension

I just got I-140 approved. I'm EB2 India with PD as Nov 2008. It seems that now I need to wait for at least 2 years or so before I can file for I-485. So I want to use this time to switch jobs. When my future employer starts GC process, I’m hoping to use my present PD. This can be done, right? Any document I need to keep for this? If my current employer revokes the I-140, can I still use the PD for a future employer? Any downside for my future GC process if I do this?

Since my I-140 has been approved, can my current employer apply for 3 year extension of my H-1B? Or will I get an extension only upto the 6 year period. My current H-1B expires on Feb 2010 and I still have 2 years left on my H-1B. A 3 yr extension will give me more time to restart GC process with future employer.Thank you.
