Q.

I-485 is still pending

As I asked in my previous question I-140 is denied but I-485 is still pending ? Can I use my EAD or I have to wait till MTR is filed for I-140 denial ?
Also I have used my 5 years of H1b if my company files for H1b and GC simultaneously will I be able to get extension on my H1b after 1 year ?
