Q.

H1B on AOS laid off for 3 months

Lost job in 01/2009.
EAD expires 2010,
AP expires 11/2009
7th year H1B approved in 12/2008 for 3 yrs.
GC priority date is 9/2006 and INS rcvd my app 9/2007.

Questions:
-how long can i stay in the country without a job ?
-Can i transfer my H1B to a new company if even if they offer me a similar job at lower pay.
-My old company may revoke H1B. How do i know if i can transfer.
-Can i just work on my EAD instead of H1B. Will i have to reapply for H1B then ?
-If i have a job offer, can i go on vacation out of the country before starting with new company. i have had a very stressful few months.

thanks for the information in advance.
