Q.

Greencard approved but No job currently hence did not invoke AC

I-140,EAD,AP approved,I485 pending over 180 days.PD:Oct 24,2003 and I-485 filling date:July 2007.Laid off on H1B(expiring 4/19/09)effective from Dec 31,2008.Since I have no job currently,I did not file AC21.Now my GC got approved.USCIS will send my new GC card within 30days.Concerns:
1)I like to visit INIDA in next week on current AP(expires Aug'09)and will return in 2 months. Is there any problem at the POE since I did not have my new GC card in hand?Is it safe journey now?
2)Is there any problem either at the time of my GC renewal or applying Citizenship due to not having job at the time of my GC approval and not invoking AC21 before my GC got approved.Am I safe?
Please suggest me on how to handle the above 2 situations to avoid any issues during GC renewal/Citizenship processing time.
