Q.

Applying for 485 but current Job title different than I140 title

PERM/140 approved in 2008, Priority Dt Mar08 EB2India. Job title listed on PERM/140 is Business Analyst. After 140 approval, I moved to different dept in same co. & location & similar job duties. But title changed to Sr Financial Analyst. Later promoted twice & current title is Manager, Financial Analysis. Occupation Code on PERM approval is Financial Analysts 13-2051 My co. & lawyers say that since my current title does not match 140 title there could be issues applying for 485, which is delaying my 485 application. But my current duties are very similar to PERM job duties. Question: is it an issue if my current job title does not match the I140 title? Is there risk of 485 denial or RFE? My co. won’t change my current title but may provide a letter saying that job duties are same as PERM
