Q.

Birth Certificate (BC) Issues - I 485 filing

My Birth was not registered after I was born (India) but was registered in 2008. BC has a few discrepancies when compared to the passport.

Place of Birth
Passport:BHADRAK
BC: EREIN
Erein is a small village in Bhadrak. Bhadrak is listed as District on BC

Father’s name:
Passport: Suresh Ram
BC: Ram Suresh (first name last name swapped

Mother’s Name:
Passport: Suresh Janaki
BC: Janaky Suresh (first name last name swapped, spelling mistake

1. Can I submit this Birth certificate for I-485 filing with the above discrepancies and the fact that it was registered in 2008. The municipality is not willing to re-issue a new BC with the corrections

2. What additional evidence is required if I can submit this BC

3. What are my options if I cannot submit this BC
