Q.

5 months India travel - H1B- any issues

Hi,
I am currently on H1b and working for client A.
Client is willing to let me work remote. I am planning to visit India for extended Period, upto 5 months.
Would there be any issues. ?
My Green card has Apr08,2010 as Priority date.
Am hoping,my date becomes current next month,so I can file and leave the country. If so,Should I wait for EAD,AP to leave country..or I can just file and go.
Even,if my PD does not become current,am leaving to India, hoping to come back into USA,as soon as my date becomes current.(in this case I have to rush back).
What are my options ?
What do you suggest ?
I don't want to take too much risk, especially since Green card looks viable now,but my mother is getting older and i need to go for a long period and take care of her for a while.

Thanks.
