Q.

EB2 priority date

Dear Sir/ Madam,
I was mailing in regards to a question for permanent residency.
One of my colleagues mentioned that while I am working on H1B and if permanent residency is filed for me, another employer can continue with that application without employing me.
If Employer A filed for my permanent residency and if I lose my job, Employer B files for my H1B and I am employed with them. In the mean time, Employer C can file for my permanent residency using my old priority date and not employing me. The current date for EB2 is 03/2008 and my priority date is 02/2009. If this is so I have a company who is willing to sponsor me and I would like you to help me file for the residency.
Please let me know if this can be done. .
Thanks
Binoy Thomas
