Apply AOS adjustment with depended L1 visa extension pending RFE

LCA & I-140 is approved.PD Dec 10 2007 in EB2-India.My wife is on blanket L1 visa.Her Visa
and i-94 expired on Sep 21,2011. L1 extension was applied on June 23,2011.But USCIS requested RFE on Sep 13,2011 and we yet to respond.
i)Can I add her as depended to i-485 processing using her expired L1B with the extension case pending with USCIS?
ii)Should we delay the response to the L1 RFE until we apply I-485 OR respond to the RFE immediately and hold-on filing 485 until we get a response for the L1 ext.
iii) if we apply 485 and the L1B case is denied later, will the stay after the expiry dt on Sep 21,2011 is a unlawful presence and would impact the I-485 process? Should she leave the country immediately even if the 485 is pending?
iv) Should I apply for H4-visa for my wife using my H1?
