Q.

H1B laid off, 485 pending more than 180 days, what options?

Came to US on Aug 20 2005. Current H1B is valid till 06/07/2010
Substitution labor, both labor & 140 are approved
485 is pending about 18 months
Dont have labor & 140 docs
Now if my current employer terminates me will I be out of status
How many days I can stay without job & without joining any employer on H1 or EAD
1.Can I do H1 transfer. Any risk for H1 transfer under current economic conditions
To do H1 tranfser do I need labor & 140 documents to get 3 years of H1 as my 140 is approved
Do I need to file AC 21 as I changed my employer? Incase I do H1 transfer & after few months if it gets rejected then can I use EAD to work
2. If I join some employer using EAD, when should I file AC 21
For any reason 485 gets denied then can I switch back to my unused H1B of 6 years quota
