Q.

I-485 case closed

My wife’s PD is jul27, 2007 in EB3 category (ROW). We got married in July 2009. After the marriage, her immigration lawyer recommended us to file my AOS based on her filing. The lawyer filed my AOS to USCIS but at first we got denial letter from USCIS mentioning that her PD needs to be current in order to file case, but my lawyer refilled the application again after a month. This time USCIS accepted our case and fees and after finger print I got my EAD and also my travel permit. However I got a letter of denial when I tried to renew my EAD this time. USCIS did not mention any specific reason for denial and just closed my case. Please suggest what can be done to resume my case or get refund. I am in H1 status and maintained it even when I had EAD.
