My skills and experience: B.S. in Geological Science (Not Computer Science), 16+ years in IT experience. I am joining a company "ABC" for a "contract to hire" position. The company "ABC" will sponsor H1B so I can convert to their full time employee from Oct 1st, 2011. Company "ABC" will sponsor my green card but currently I am qualified for EB3. I am getting my Master's degree in Feb, 2012. I am planning to initiate the GC at that time with EB2 option. Here is my question. Will there be any issue with filing EB2 on the same job position that I will have been already working since my H1B? I will become qualified for EB2 when I get the Master's on Feb but I would have already started working on the same position without EB2 qualification at that point.
