Q.

Joining new job on EAD when H1B expiring. I am from india.

I am working in US on H1B since Aug'08 and current H1B expires on 31-Jul-11& My company will file H1B Exten next month. My wife working in another company on L1.Her Company filed GC on 15-Nov-10.We both got EAD/AP&waiting 1140/485 approval(it may takes another2-4months)
Now i got very good offer in another company and they wants me to join on EAD as they are not doing H1B transfer. My question:-
1. What will be +ve/-ve in joining on EAD.
2. If i join on EAD and after 2-4 Months if USCIS Denies 140/485, what i need to do to retain the Job as by that time I will not have both H1B & EAD?I am assuming EAD expires automatically Once 140/485 is denied,is it correct? 3. Can I apply for H1B/L2 extension at that time by staying in US.
4. If applied for L2, how long it takes to get L2 and EAD.
