Q.

Am I out of status

1) I was in B2 status from 08/01/01 - 02/01/02 and changed status to F1 later. The received date on the F1 petition was 02/04/02. So am I out-of-status for 02/02/02 and 02/03/02 ?.

2) In Aug of 2003 I changed status from F1 to H1B, the received date on the H1B petition was 08/22/03 but the H1B was valid only from 01/05/04. So, what was my status between 08/23/03 - 01/04/04, was I out-of-status ?. (I did not enroll in any courses while I was waiting for the H1B approval. )
