Q.

Spouse GC in process

My case status
140 approved-PD 1/6/10 in EB3
H1B extended untill 1/19/14
(Waiting for PD to become current)
spouse status
Labor in process-PD of 4/6/11 in EB2.
Hoping that her Labor + 140 gets approved.
we will both be waiting for our respective priority dates to become current.
Obviously her PD will become current before mine since her GC is in EB2.
my question is.
when should i add my name to her application?
-Right After I 140 is approved?
OR
-Right before filing I 485(when her PD becomes current)-I prefer this option.
I want to keep my GC going for as long as possible(In case something goes wrong with her GC)
how long can we keep the parallel processing going?before which we absolutely need to choose whose GC are we going with?
thanks
