Job switch after GC approval

I have been working for my GC sponsoring employer for 3 years.PERM was applied on Mar,2010 and I1485 was applied on Dec 16,2010.GC got approved on April 11,2011.I work as a consultant for a client which is 2000 miles away from GC sponsoring company. I had no intention of job switch during my 485 application. A week after my GC was approved, I had taken my manager for a lunch during which he offered me full time in the client with better salary in the same position.
Can I switch the job in 1 mth after GC approval or is it better to wait another 1-2 mths. How should I document that there was no intention of Job Switch during GC process? Will it help if I get some kind of letter from my manager at client site who offered me the full time? How can I minimize the risk that can come in future ?
