Q.

LC pending approval and H1B expiring in May

My 6 year of H1B expires in May 21 /2011. My employer applied my PERM LC on March 17th/2011. The LC is still pending approval.
My questions
1) Can i apply for H1B extension if i get the LC approved before May 21?
2)If i get my LC approved before May, i am planning to apply I140 in premium. If i don't get my I140 approved before May21, can i still apply for H1B extension without having to leave the country?
3)Can i apply for H1B extension when I140 is in process?
4) Can i file I140 normal processing after my LC approval and apply for H1B extension?
