Q.

H1-B extension with I140 from future employer

I am currently working with Company A and my H1-B expires in may. Company A is filing for my GC. I have an approved I140 from Company B for future employment.

Can company A still use the I140 from Company B to renew my H1-B ? Is there a time limit on when I can join Company B ?
