I am working for company X. My PERM and I-140 with X have been approved. Priority Date is Nov-2008. The current H1 is valid till Feb-2012 and I am already on extension beyond 6 year limit on H1 based on approved I-140. Now company Y has offered me a better opportunity. They will do my H1 based on approved I-140 from X.
When they apply H1, will I get 3 yr extension or only till current validity of Feb-2012? Also company Y will apply for my PERM after 1 year of joining them. Company X may revoke my I-140. What are the potential risks in switching to company Y in regard to H1 and Greencard. Also will I retain my priority date when company Y applies for my GC?
