Q.

Going part time on EAD

I am a scientist with a University in USA (on H1-B valid till 2013). My I-140 was approved last year (EB1). I just applied for my AOS and might get the EAD soon. I have an opportunity to do "External Professional work" with a major oil company (and earn extra income) using my EAD. The work is related to my expertise and my boss and the University encourage such work. My options are

1) I can go 80% on my work at University and work 20% for the company.

2) I can work during weekend for this company (retaining 100% at Univ).

Can any of these be detrimental to my GC application ?. (Especially since the letter from employer for AOS states that I work full-time for the University.)
