PERM with candidate that meets that minimal requiments
Hi,
My employer has completed the recruitment process for my PERM application. They did the phone interview with a candidate that met the minimal requirements. The phone interview was conducted by HR and wasn't technical. It was more of survey type that confirmed that candidate's past experience. Though the candidate met the minimal job requirement and was willing to accept the job offer, my employer felt that he might not actually be qualified for the job based on the candidate's resume.
Can my employer invite the candidate onsite and do a technical interview to determine if the candidate is indeed qualified to perform the job? Or the onsite interview won't make any difference as the candidate already met the minimal requirements (at least the candidate claimed he did)?
Thanks.
