Q.

EAD extension PD current.

I applied for my EAD extension on June 24( USCIS Receipt date was June 30th). I still do not have my EAD yet. My existing EAD expires on 9/21/10 and my priority date is Current. I opened a Service request on 9/13/10 and did not hear back from USCIS yet. I will call them on Monday if I do not get any response. I know I cannot work after 9/21/10. But is it till I get any decision from USCIS or like 90 days after EAD extension receipt date ? If i get any update from USCIS like Card Production ordered or EAD ordered , can that be enough to continue employment or will my employer need to have the actual card ? Can I walk into local Immigration office and speak to some to expedite the process ?

Thanks
DM
