Q.

EAD gap OVER 180 days - did not work - what proof better for RFE

When there is a gap in between two EADs (8 months – OVER 180 days) in between 2 EAD renewals and now Priority Date (PD) is current and there is an RFE out for I-485 to produce "continuous employment authorization" for the above 8-month gap period. What is a better documentation to produce as evidence that no “unauthorized employment” happened – Specifically is it better to show that as an Employment Gap (Formal Termination/ReHire Letters with W-2s) OR just HR letters and W-2s showing that period as “unpaid leave of absence” is sufficient?
