Q.

I-485 NSC, EB-2 India, Priority Date June 2005, EAD Expiring

I just found that my EAD is expiring by end July (I'm working on H1B) and I had not filed an extension. My priority date (June 2005, EB-2, India) is now current per the July visa bulletin.

My I-485 (filed Sept 2005) is pending at the Nebraska Service Center and not yet approved. The last update was in Jun 2007 when I responded to the RFE on employment verification.

I am wondering if I should apply for my EAD extension now and if that will lead the USCIS to pull up my pending I-485 petition and adjudicate it. I would not worry about the filing fees if the extension app will trigger some movement on the pending 485.

Also, what other options are most appropriate to expedite the adjudication of the pending I-485 (opening a service request, taking an Infopass, any other?).

Thanks.
