Q.

EAD expiration issue

I am on pending employment based AOS. I applied for EAD renewal for my wife and myself on May 10th, but after 2 months the status is still in the Initialization step.
The problem is our EADs expire on Aug 4th and 10th.

In case I work after my EAD expires, how does Section 245(k) come into play and can I apply for interim card after 90 days?
