PERM- Un-constrain to move laterally/vertically within firm

I am working as an engineer. My company is starting PERM-EB2; I am from India and it would take ages for EAD/GC. I am doing Part-Time MBA and plan to move into "business strategy" within my firm during this or next year. Whether that actually happens, I am not sure, but I do not want to constrain myself legally anyway.

Options:

1) I have a bit of freedom to broaden some job responsibilities in my PERM application. I am planning to file "PERM job responsibilities" as a combination of both engineering plus some business strategy. Would this be okay if during-OR-after PERM approval, I change job from engineering to strategy. I fulfill minimum requirements for both the engineering as well as strategy job.
2) Do I have no other option but to file a new PERM when I move to strategy?
