I finished undergrad & masters on F1 in 2004 and went straight to H1 without using OPT time. I used up 6 years of my H1 and am back on F1 now. I am now in an associates program for speech pathology. My questions are:
1)can i get an opt after my degree since I never used it before.or does it have to be phd
2)can i go from OPT directly to GC or do I have to go OPT-H1-GC (i think the labor process is different because there's a shortage in allied health?)
3)can i reclaim H1 time for the days I was out of the country earlier and use that as a buffer between OPT and GC? what is the process to reclaim that time? I think it'll give me about 6mths.
4)if my parents who are GC holders file for my GC, will it affect any future F1 renewal or transfer petitions? since it shows intent to immigrate?
