Q.

Change employer on approved I-140

Andrew,
I currently am on H1B work visa which is valid till December,01 2012 . I also have approved I-140 with priority date of January 16th,2008 under EB2 . I am considering switching jobs, but am very concerned about maintaining my priority date and also mainly the EB2 criteria .

1>Before I start my move to another company, are there any critical documents I should gather from my current employer? because I may not be able to get these documents easily once I tell them my decision to move.

2> I heard if I did move, it would be a fresh LC and I-140 ? Can I maintain the same priority date and mainly-EB2?.

3>Can my current employer negatively affect the transfer of priority date and EB2 ? What are the rights I have to counter against it?
