Q.

Salary Reduction during AC 21 portability

Hi

My name is Kumar. I am working on EAD. My I-140 was approved in Aug 2007. My I-455 was applied on Aug 2007.
My priority date is December 2004 in EB-3 category.

I am moving to a new employer with my EAD using the AC 21 portability.
However, the salary in my new job is lesser than my old job.

The salary mentioned in my Labor Certification is about 87,000$/annum.

The salary the new employer is offering is just 66,000 $.annum.
There is a reduction of 21,000 $/annum in my salary.

I was working in California when the salary was 87,000. Now I would be working in Maryland

Would it be a problem if there is a huge reduction in salary in the AC 21 portability using my EAD.
What steps whould I follow during the portability?

Thanks

Kumar
