Question about Ability to Pay

Hi ,
I am working as a full time employee for a fortune 500 company on H1B. I have EAD cards too from my EB3 process started in 2007 .I applied for EB2 labor through a small consulting firm last year which got approved. Now the consulting firm wants me to join them since he feels that by showing my paystubs he can cover the scenario where he gets an ability to pay RFE for I140.I know its hard to predict the outcome of anyones's case but my question is that will showing a couple of paystubs suffice for ability to pay if you have a weak company's W2?Also does USCIS consider latest paystubs too or are interested in seeing paystubs for the year when Labor was filled? Is it really worth leaving the current job to generate couple of paystubs? If poss. plz reply asap as I need to resign today.
