Q.

Change employer AOS pending

I140 approved. Filed I485 on 4/22/10 using cross-chargeability. 6th year H1B expires on 5/6/10. 3 yr extension filed on 4/9/10. Still waiting for approval. All thru employer A.
H1B paper work process with employer B to start in June after official offer.
• Can I transfer to employer B and obtain 3 years H1B visa and how?
• I plan to provide 4 weeks notice to employer A next week. Will this jeopardize my legal status or can employer A cause problems in any way with my current H1B or I140 or transfer.
• Is it best to change jobs now and start the green card process with the new employer or change immediately after GC is approved? Employer B may not wait for 180 days since I485 filed and the new job is a promotion and not similar job to my current labor certification.
