Q.

I-485 application lost

My I485 app EB2 ROW delivered on 02/24/2010 to NSC (family of 4). So far, I neither recv’d rcpt nor cashier’s checks cleared. Cks will be voided on 04/30/2010 & medical reports expire on 05/25/2010.
My lawyer called NCSC, provided them all details and delivery conf. They could not locate it & asked to refile.
1. Should I refile or wait until cks expire
2. What will happen if they find first app. after appling again.
3. Can they reject both appl. on the basis of duplicate filing
4. If I make stop pmnt on cks & re-file, what will happen to first app?
5. Should I write them a letter first, explaining whole story and inform them that rep at NCSC advised us to refile.
6. If I485 app is rejected due to expired cks or medical or duplicate filing, can I file again? Pl. advise.
Thank u.
