Q.

EB3 to EB2 Porting

Andrew,
I already have a I-140 approved under EB-3. My company is now ready to file for a new PERM under EB-2 , so that I port the priority date from EB-3 to EB-2 ( for I-140 ). Now , here are my questions.
1). Does the Job description for the new EB-2 petition has to be same/similar to the job description mentioned in the Labour petition of my existing EB-3 labour or can it be different ?
2). What happens to the old I-140 (filed under EB-3) if the new PERM gets rejected?.
3). What happens to my existing I-140(EB-3) if the new EB-2 I-140 gets denied ?
4). My wife and I are working on EAD (based on the EB-3 ), what happens to the EAD if the new EB-2 I-140 gets denied

Thanks
Vishwamitra
