Q.

Gap in EAD

Hi,

I have been working on EAD since 2006 and sometime in 2008 when I applied for EAD renewal by mistake I chose wrong category and it was subsequently denied,so I applied again and therefore there was a period of one and half months while I was working without a valid EAD ,when I had asked my attorney he said a gap of upto 180 days is fine ,I also went to local ASC office and they said "as long my employer is okay with it its alright",recently I ready on a forum that it can cause complications during the green card approval and when I consulted with another attorney he said I should have taken leave of absence ,since then I am having sleepless nights, please advise.
Sincerely,
Thanks.
