Q.

AOS interview inconclusive, what next?

Indian.PhD.Post doctoral scientist. Both EB1A(Jul.’09)&EB2(Nov.‘09)self-petitions approved.I485 filed Aug.’09 based on EB1A.Transferred to NBC, interviewed @ Fairfax,VA office(mar.’10).Std.questions,went through I485,didn’t know reason for transfer. IO said that he has 4 months to give decision. He added that since my petition is EB2 based it would be yrs before visas are available anyway. Stunned,I showed him original EB1A approvalnotice and made it clear that I cannot even file 485 if it is EB2 based.IO looked totally confused, uncomfortable. Said he has not read my appln. and can decide only after doing so. Should I take an infopass and make it clear that visas are available?Need to withdraw my EB2 petition? Any way to contact a higher authority at the field office and make things clear?
