H1B/EAD after layoff

My H1B is with Company A, for which I was working till last Friday, when I was impacted by their 50% RIF. This company was also sponsoring my Green Card, for which I received approved EAD 2.5 years ago and have since renewed it twice. My wife's GC is also being processed on behalf of my GC, and she is working for Company B through her EAD (which was also approved 2.5 years ago)
Now that I am RIFed
1. Can I use my H1B to seek employment with another employer C, or do I have to use my EAD? Employer A will notify USCIS in 2 weeks time for revoking H1B
2. While I am still in between jobs, what happens to my wife's EAD? Is it valid and can she continue to work?
3. My GC was filed with Staff Software Engineer Title. Can I take new employment as Technical Project Manager (Still in Software)?
