Q.

Green Card Filing

Follow up from last week's question.
I have been on H1B since Aug 2005. I recently moved from company A to B but have Labor and I140 approved through company A. Based on my approved I140, I believe I can get my H1B extended for 3 years, i.e. from Aug 2011 to Aug 2014. Since my current employer does not file for GCs, I am thinking of looking for another company (C), which does. This is in addition to my GC with company A.
Can you tell me, till when can company C file for my GC? Do they need to keep my Aug 2011 H1B expiration in mind? Or, can they file for my GC, keeping the new H1B expiration date (Aug 2014) in mind?
My question last week was probably not clear enough. At that time, you told me that I had only until Aug 2011 to search for an employer who would file for my GC.
