Green Card Holder H1 B Re-opened

Hi ,
Iam a Green Card Holder since Aug 2008 and i also had a valid H1 petition with my previous employer at the time of resigning my previous Employement in Dec 2009 . In Jan 2010 i recieved a mail from USCIS stating that my H1 B petition (which was approved in 2008) Case has been Reopened
Iam assuming that I got that message since my previous Employer has canceled my H1 B Since i dont work for them now.

Is my Assumption correct ?

1)I have plans to go to india for vacation and come back in May 2010 and wanted to know if this would have any impact at the immigration
2) I just wanted to confirm if this will have any impact on my Green card and wanted to confirm if my PreviousEmployer can cancel my 140 application. Its been 1.5 years since i got Green card in Aug 08
