working while waiting on I-140 and I-485 approval
I have worked for the past year and a half as a professor at a university. I have obtained PERM approval, and filled I-140 and I-485. I am currently waiting for the approval of I-140 and I-485, but my H1-B has expired (and I have reached the limit of 6 years). Can I still continue working for my current employer while waiting for I-140 and I-485 approval even though my work visa has expired?
