Q.

Starting a parallel GC under EB2

Hi,
Worked for Comp.A for 10yrs[H1B–Valid - Oct/11]
Pri. dt - GC(EB3)-08/2003
As my job duties changed from past 3 yrs, my comp want to start another GC under EB2. Say my Perm got approved, and porting my prty date in 140 stage is also done,
In 485 stage
1)Do we ask them to substitute EB3-485 (if dates are current) with new EB2-140.What are the chances of success here, and how much time does it take to get the GC through this route.
2) Or do we have to start a fresh 485 (if dates are current). Does USCIS know that we have an old 485 pending or do we have to tell them when we apply for new 485?.
3) Will the new 485 consolidated with old one , or will it run parallel to old one.
4) How much time does it take to get the GC with fresh 485, given the dates are current.
Thanks a Lot.
